Can Gusi was built in 1869, but it was in 1887 when the first reference was made to it in the magazine El Jueves, together with the other baths in the Vall de Ribes, Montagut, Perramón and La Corba.«There is still one that we have already saved for last. This is called Gousí, and it has the advantage of being located almost at the entrance of the town and being surrounded by gardens, which together with the good treatment received there and the kindness of its managers, make it a magnificent recreational site."

In 1900 Gousi changed owners, according to the article in La Vanguardia of July 5, the first tourist apartments were rented.
